Our Story

IN 2024, the venue we worked at silently shut down, offering only a vague assurance that existing contracts would still be honored. To keep things running smoothly, we set up a design studio in Port Aransas at our own expense and began scouting alternative locations for our couples, just in case. We care about our couples and their families and never stopped working for them.

It was during this time that we concepted nocturne42 as a fresh approach to wedding planning. We reimagined every detail—from connecting with the right couples and partnering with top-tier vendors to making the process fun, flexible, and creatively inspiring—all while keeping costs well below the "wedding premium" average while providing the added peace of mind that their wedding will be protected.

We’ve learned this happens more often than you’d expect. Our portfolio starter package is designed to protect your investment. Too often, it’s impossible to reschedule once everyone’s arranged time off and made travel plans, which can be heartbreaking. When you work with us, we stay alert and always have backup options for everything from bad weather to local vendor issues and more.

Josh and I come from very different professional backgrounds, so when we started working together in 2022, we definitely bumped heads quite a bit. It didn’t take long though to realize that our differences were what would inevitably set us apart from the rest.

We had no idea that change was coming to the venue we loved so much. As each day went by, resources became more and more scarce and the mood contentious. Josh and I kept doing our work to keep things together for the couples and families hosting events there. For the venue’s final event, it was just the two of us handling a guest list of 250, 12 bridesmaids, 12 groomsmen, all while making last minute adjustments given much of the property was flooded.

I believe it was our most beautiful event to date.

Event Staff: Individuals who are enthusiastic, customer service oriented, and have strong critical thinking skills will enjoy this part-time, seasonal02 job. We have a cross functional team so while we each may have specific duties; we only have one job which is to ensure a remarkable guest experience.

Internship/ Administrative Support: This role is for an individual who is eager to learn general business and office skills. For the right candidate who is committed to growing as a professional, we are equally committed to mentoring and providing unique opportunities that go beyond the wedding business.

Sales: To be successful in this role, one must have strong communication and negotiation skills. Lead generation comes to us in a variety of ways so it's important to know who you have talked to; a detailed record keeper is crucial. This role is commission based.
